Scripts

Scripts, also known as writing systems, are a form of transcription. Transcription is the process of converting speech into written-form. Scripts are used to inscribe human language in a physical form-factor so that other humans can interpret it. For example, the English language uses the Latin script. Other languages like Ancient Egyptian use a different script. Scripts may be differentiated from one another according to many factors: reading direction, family, type, and others.
